Wraparound and Holiday Childcare
Oakgrove Primary offers wraparound care in its Oaks Fun Club and Holiday Club, with Early Oaks running before school and Late Oaks running after school. The emphasis is on creating a vibrant and fun club, which the children look forward to and enjoy every day.
Oaks wraparound care provision is not currently available to children in Oakgrove Nursery.
Early Oaks
At Early Oaks Breakfast Club, children can be dropped off anytime from 7.45am until 8.20am. The children are offered a nutritional breakfast, followed by the chance to participate in fun, educational activities or catch up on any homework they have. The fee for each session is £5.
Late Oaks
At Late Oaks, the children are taken directly from their classes to the club at the end of the school day. They are given a snack and a drink and are then free to take part in any of the numerous activities on offer. The children then all sit together for a light hot meal at 4pm. Parents have a choice of three payment sessions to book; for a parent collection up to 3.30pm the cost is £2, for a parent collection up to 4.30pm the cost is £8, and for a parent collection up 6pm the session cost is £10.
Holiday Club Childcare Provision
At Oakgrove Primary we offer a Holiday Club during most of the school holidays. The Holiday Club is run by Mrs Tracey, along with other members of Oakgrove staff who will be familiar to your child. During each day, there is a full timetable of planned activities for the children.
The club runs from 8.30am to 4.30pm with the following booking options:
Whole day sessions - £30 per day
Runs from 8.30am - 4.30pm and include breakfast, refreshments and a light tea. Parents need to provide a packed lunch.
Morning sessions - £15 per session
Runs from 8.30am - 12.30pm and include breakfast and refreshments. Parents need to provide a packed lunch.
Afternoon sessions - £15 per session
Run from 1-4.30pm and include refreshments and a light tea.
For the academic year of 2022 -2023 the Holiday Club will run on the following dates:
- October Half Term – Monday 28th October to Friday 1st November 2024
- February Half Term – Monday 17th February to Friday 21st February 2025
- Easter Holiday – Monday 7th April to Friday 11th April 2025
- May Half Term – Tuesday 27th May to Friday 30th May 2025
- Summer Holiday –four weeks of the summer holidays, starting on Monday 21st July 2025
Wraparound Care Bookings and Payments
Bookings and payments for all the clubs can be made directly from a pupil's Tucasi School Cash Office account. Childcare vouchers will be accepted – please contact the School Office with the Childcare Voucher provider details and they will be able to assist with payment.
Oakgrove will seek to offer as much flexibility as possible. However, due to the need to plan for staffing ratio, the school cannot guarantee places unless they are booked in advance. If a session is booked, but the child does not attend, there may still be a charge for the session.
- All Oaks Fun Club bookings must be paid for in advance of the child attending the club
- Bookings should be made through the child’s Tucasi School Cash Office, unless the payment is with Childcare Vouchers
- If you are paying with Childcare Vouchers, please contact the School Office.
Late Collection from Oaks Fun Club
Oaks Fun Club runs until 6pm in the evening. Parents must collect their child on time, based on the session they have booked: by 4.30pm for an early finish session or by 6pm for a late finish session. Failure to do so will result in a Penalty Payment as detailed below:
If a child is booked in for an early finish of 4.30pm and the child hasn’t arrived by more than 15 minutes, the parent will be charged an additional £2, in order to take their session up to a Late Oaks finish of 6pm.
If the child is not collected by 6pm the parent will incur a charge of £5 for the first 15 minutes and then £1 per minute thereafter.
