Starting Nursery 2025/2026
Oakgrove Nursery currently offers provision for children aged 3 and 4. The main in-take for Nursery is the September following your child’s third birthday. This process is for children born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022.

The application window is now open and the closing date is Friday, 14th March 2025.

To complete the form, which is an editable PDF, the applicant needs to save the form on to their device (phone/tablet/laptop), complete the form and then press save to save the completed form.
Please ensure that you have provided both the completed form and the supporting documentation.
Please note that the application process is not a first come first served basis. All complete applications received will be processed.
Parent / carers will be notified of the outcome of their application by Thursday, 3rd April 2025.
Offers are subject to availability of places. The main intake for Nursery is the September following your child's third birthday.
It should be noted that a place in the nursery class does not automatically guarantee admission to the Primary school. Parents should refer to the Primary School admissions policy for further advice on applying for a place in Reception.

Oakgrove Nursery currently offers provision for children aged 3 and 4. The main in-take for Nursery is the September following your child’s third birthday.
The nursery is currently fully allocated for September 2024, if you wish to be placed on the waiting list and see if a place becomes available later on in the academic year, then please submit an application for the Nursery you will receive a confirmation that the application has been received and your child placed on the waiting list. The waiting list is ranked via the Oversubscription Criteria.

In year admissions refer to applications made at any other time after the initial September entry into Reception.
Parent/Carers should be aware that Oakgrove School is an oversubscribed school with more applicants than places available and each year many Parent/Carers are unsuccessful in their application for a place. Please note that when a place does become available it is allocated strictly in accordance with the school’s admissions criteria.

Primary In Year Application form 2024-25
Please note that initially you will receive a turn down letter as the current year groups are full. Once you have received the turn down you can request for your child(ren) to be placed on the waiting lists.
The waiting lists are ranked via the oversubscription criteria. Length of time on the waiting list is not a factor in offering a place.
Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a place at the school.
Year 7 Admissions for September 2025

Starting secondary/upper school in September 2025
For children born between 1st September 2013 and 31 August 2014.
Applications close on 31st October 2024.
National Offer Day is 3rd March 2025. Late applications need to be made to Milton Keynes City Council

The defined area for Oakgrove Secondary School (Years 7-11) is Middleton, Milton Keynes Village, Oakgrove, Broughton, Broughton Gate, Monkston, Monkston Park, Atterbury, Kingston, Woolstone and Woughton on the Green.
In-Year Admissions
In-year admissions refers to applications made at any time after the normal age of transfer at the end of primary school.
Parent/Carers should be aware that Oakgrove School is a vastly oversubscribed school with more applicants than places available and each year many parent/carers are unsuccessful in their application for a place. Please note that when a place does become available it is allocated strictly in accordance with the school’s admissions criteria.
Oakgrove School maintains a waiting list throughout the academic year. The waiting list will be ranked in accordance with the over-subscription criteria and length of time on the list will not be a factor in offering a place. This means that children will move up and down the list as other children are or removed. Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a place at the school. Waiting lists close at the end of the academic year.
Applications for an in-year admission can be made directly to Oakgrove School.

Secondary In-Year Application 2024-25
The school is currently full in all year groups, so a turn down letter will initially be sent out.

Admission to Sixth Form
The Kingsbridge Educational Trust Admissions Team only handles Nursery to Year 11 inclusive. The Sixth form application and admissions process is managed by the Sixth Form team at Oakgrove School.

2024 Admission Arrangements for Oakgrove School
The consultation on the proposed Sixth Form Admissions Arrangements for Oakgrove School for September 2024 closed on Monday, 23 January 2023. The Local Governing Body subsequently reviewed the policy and approved the changes as proposed.
